CBP announced Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) ineligibility for nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries who have been present in Cuba or who are dual nationals of a VWP country and Cuba. For affected individuals whose ESTA was already approved, it will be revoked and the traveler will be notified. These individuals are not barred from traveling to the United States. CBP directs them to apply for a nonimmigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate.
