Premium Processing to be extended to a number of additional visa and green card categories
USCIS announced an expected phased roll out of adding more visa and green card categories for premium processing starting June 1, 2022. Specific dates will be announced.
In addition to the currently eligible visa categories (EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2, EB-3, E-1, E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-3, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, O-2, P-1, P-1S, P-2, P-2S, P-3, Q-1, TN-1, TN-2, R-1, H-2B) USCIS will allow the following new categories as outlined in the below table:
USCIS also clarified that in case USCIS requests further evidence, the Premium Processing time frame will stop and start over again once a response to its request has been received. Should USCIS fail to adjudicate the application within the Premium Processing timeframe, it will refund the Premium Processing fee.
