USCIS Appointments and Rescheduling

Appointments at the Los Angeles office will continue to take place. USCIS are to please respect social distancing when in line or seated in waiting areas.

The facilities will be screening all visitors upon entry to determine if they have traveled internationally to any country outside the U.S. within 14 days of the appointment or experiencing flu-like symptoms. If any questions are answered “yes,” access will be denied and the appointment will be rescheduled no sooner than 30 days later.

Attendance will be limited to only those who are a party to the appointment such as, applicant, beneficiary, or petitioner. Attorneys, interpreters, individuals requiring accommodation and parents of juveniles will also be granted entry. All others will be respectfully asked to wait outside. Please take notice that the same policy will also apply to our Application Support Centers, for biometrics appointments.

Furthermore, appointments with individuals who are at higher risk for severe illness because of age, compromised immune system, or pregnancy will be postponed or canceled.

Please see the following USCIS webpage for more information on rescheduling appointments due to illness or any other reason. Under the current circumstances, the Los Angeles District offices will accept requests for the rescheduling of appointments without requiring good cause.
