Per 9/6/2025, DOS announced that all nonimmigrant visa (NIV) applicants must schedule their visa interview appointments at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their country of nationality or residence. Nationals of countries where the U.S. does not routinely conduct NIV operations must schedule their interviews at the embassy or consulate designated for their country in the announcement, unless their residence is elsewhere.
